Last month we reported on XSEED’s localization for Brandish: The Dark Revenant finally arriving in December.

Unfortunately, it’s already halfway into the month and we still haven’t heard anything regarding an official release – until now. XSEED has confirmed that the game is being slightly delayed into early 2015.

The localization for the game sounds like quite the endeavor, perhaps not as grandiose as the script for The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky, but it is mentioned that Falcom has a thing for shoehorning in English names, which may sound cool to the Japanese, but end up sounding weird or “off’ to us. Oh, there’s also the Cthulhu-like monster named unabashedly the “Octopussy,” which you’ll end up fighting.

I know, many of you are getting antsy waiting for the “Dark Souls meets Etrian Odyssey” game, but XSEED is tirelessly working on it.
