Blue Archive has now begun their Valentine’s day event, even though it’s September right now.

The reasoning behind this timing is because the game is following the release schedule of Japan, which launched months before the global launch late last year.

The event also contains many major bonus and goodies, as it’s also replicating the 1 year anniversary event for Japan which occurred back at the end of January this year.

New characters include a limited time unit named Wakamo, whose banner will only be available from 9/6 (after server maintenance) – 9/10 (Sat) 01:59 (UTC). However, it is a special banner where the rate up for 3 star units, the rarest to roll in Blue Archive, is double from 2.5% to 5%.

Publisher Nexon has done rather well in supporting their gacha title. They’ve added merch for Blue Archive and even had high profile crossovers such as with Hatsune Miku. However they also have failed to avoid controversy, with the censorship of CG art in the game despite promising there would be no alteration of such content.
