Popular mobile gacha game Blue Archive was recently the target of hack that saw the game enter emergency maintenance a few days ago.
What did they hacker want? Free premium currency? A top spot on the leaderboard? No, they just wanted to spam their waifu everywhere and for everyone. Allegedly, no important data was touched.
On August 31, Blue Archive entered maintenance to address players reporting that the character Koyuki Kurosaki was… well everywhere. Their cafes were full of nothing but Koyuki, the banner announcement? Koyuki. Even the text at the top of some windows was replaced with Koyuki’s signature “nihahaha” laugh.

The funniest thing is that this sort of hack is entirely in-character for Koyuki. Koyuki is a member of Seminar, some of the most intelligent students who attend Millennium Science School. While she’s not necessarily known for hacking (that’d be Himari), she’s a math genius. She also puts the idiot in idiot savant and frequently gets in to trouble with poorly thought out schemes.
Blue Archive is available now on mobile devices and Steam. You can check out our review here! (as far as mobile games go, we still recommend it!)
