Bloom, a Game Inspired by a Mother’s Love, Looks Beautiful

Bloom: Memories is a game by Studio Fawn, a small indie team based out of Los Angeles, California. The game is up on kickstarter, and despite their original kickstarter attempt not reaching its goal, their second go at it has already prove successful. With only roughly two days to go, they’re well above their $40K goal, and they continue to reveal more about the project.

The game is all about a world that has carried on after a mysterious cataclysm left humans twisted, corrupted and fighting these strange mechanized monsters. The game starts off with a woman escaping from the war of attrition between humans and machines, heading into a forest where the creatures there take her in, only to find out she’s pregnant. They quickly throw together a metallic suit for the child and after it’s born, encase him in it as he is weak, and fragile.

Check out their kickstarter pitch below:

Playing as the child, you embark into a journey into a world that reacts and adjusts to how you play. The game doesn’t discourage violence, but you can also play through the entire game without causing harm to another living being. The more you kill, the more powerful you become, but the more violent the world may also become. The same can be said of if you’re peaceful, as the world could possibly become warmer and more accepting of you.

Bloom: Memories is currently in develpment for PC and Mac, and it has already been Greenlit on Steam. If you want to back the game, head on over to their kickstarter.
