While the news came over a month ago that Bloodborne sales had surpassed the one million mark, news about the game’s explosive numbers continues to emerge.

Most recently, as more of an update to their previous statement regarding the sales than a statement on it’s own, Sony has said that Bloodborne‘s sales surprised them. While no numbers were given, Sony did go on to say that their original estimate for sales wasn’t what they would’ve thought as conservative, but rather it was based on previous Souls’ titles sales, and projected to be even higher than that.

But even then, as it turned out, Sony was surprised, as it seems as though their estimate was indeed conservative, and the sales outright surprised them.

It’s great to hear a game like Bloodborne is doing well. And what’s more, with an expansion announced, sales may keep growing.
