Both Blizzard Entertainment and ChronoGG are running special sales in honor of famed PC games critic John Bain, better known online as TotalBiscuit, who passed away on May 24th.
TotalBiscuit was a big name in the StarCraft II community as both a commentator and owner of the Korean pro team, Axiom.
To commemorate his work, Blizzard has released a special bundle of in-game avatars, emotes, and sprays for StarCraft II. All proceeds from this bundle, as well as future sales of the TotalBiscuit Announcer Pack, will go to his wife Genna and their son, Orion. The bundle is a limited-time offer and will run until December 31st, or until it sells out.
Meanwhile, ChronoGG decided to celebrate the legacy of TotalBiscuit by running a sale on nine games he enjoyed. The sale includes Civilization VI (53% off), XCOM 2 (72% off), Dying Light (70% off), Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons (80% off), Redout: Enhanced Edition (77% off), Spec Ops: The Line (80% off), Invisigun Heroes (50% off), Mafia (34% off), and War for the Overworld (75% off). TotalBiscuit was a well-known partner for the site, which offers a different PC game deal every day. The sale will go on until September 15th, and all proceeds will be donated to the Colorectal Cancer Alliance.
Editor’s Note: As we honored him at the time of John’s passing, once again I will reiterate that all the Niche Gamer staff send our best wishes to Genna and their son, Orion. The gaming industry lost an icon when John passed, and we’ll always miss that legendary commentary of his.
