Team17 have announced free update DLC for Blashphemous (dubbed Stir of Dawn) during today’s Summer Game Fest presentation.
Now able to “seek out to awaken an ancestral power long since forgotten by the Miracle,” players will gain new content as part as a free update. Combing the announcement with the information from the livestream, here is the rundown on the content.
Firstly the game will introduce a New Game+ mode (called True Calvary), which in turn has new content and features. Firstly, it introduces Penitence System. Players can choose one of three modifiers for the entire run, granting more challenges and restrictions. There will also be a quest line only found in New Game+, with bosses, items, and rewards.
Other content coming to the game in general includes a redesigned map screen (with custom markers and being able to zoom in), a new NPC to upgrade Bile Flasks, new areas, new teleporters and other ways to move around the world quickly, and general improvements to gameplay and graphics.
Finally, the update DLC will introduce Castillian Spanish voice acting; a much requested feature by fans. More information will be revealed in blog posts via the game’s Steam News Page.
