Koei Tecmo has announced the western release date for Bladestorm: Nightmare.
The game will launch across PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PlayStation 3 on March 3rd in North America and on March 6th in continental Europe
Bladestorm: Nightmare puts the player in the position of a mercenary in the middle of the Hundred Years War, but with a twist: it also adds in “what if” segments, like if you managed to save Joan of Arc from burning at the stake.
You’ll be able to raise your own army, strengthen your character and your soldiers, rake in a fortune in gold, and you’ll do this all while completing various missions that parallel the real life events of the historical conflict. There’s also Nightmare mode, which adds in various high-fantasy battles and monsters.
There are a whopping 32 new characters playable in the Nightmare mode, alongside the standard campaign. Oh, and Joan of Arc seems to have an evil form in the Nightmare campaign.
Our Japanese fans will get the game a bit earlier than the rest, on January 29th.
