Black Desert’s Physical ‘Prestige Edition’ Launches November 6

Pearl Abyss has announced the release date for the physical release planned for Black Desert on consoles.

The Black Desert Prestige Edition is launching on November 6th for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The physical release is up for pre-order at basically every retailer known to mankind – so take your pick over on their official website.

Black Desert’s Prestige Edition is $29.99, and while the game is an online-only MMORPG (thus kind of defeating the purpose of buying a physical disc), the Prestige Edition does include the equivalent of like $140 worth of in-game goodies, which you can redeem once you buy this version.

It’s worth mentioning the console versions of Black Desert are backwards compatible with the next-generation consoles arriving next month:

Xbox Series X/S

We are happy to announce that as backwards compatibility is a core feature of both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, you will be able to enjoy Black Desert on the next generation of consoles from day 1. There will be no need to purchase any additional bundles as all current owners of Black Desert will be able to continue their adventures on these devices. The only caveat is that your current Xbox Live Account must be the one used, and if it is, you will be able to continue where you left off!

PlayStation 5

Our partners at Sony are also working hard to make sure that PlayStation users will also be able to enjoy Black Desert on PlayStation 5 on the day that the console makes its way to your home. We will keep you updated if there are any updates in the near future!

Black Desert has been available for Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
