Black Desert Online is that one Korean MMORPG that tends to make Western game journalists simply drool and point at whenever a new trailer or batch of screenshots come out.

It’s a gorgeous game, and it seems to even play well too – although us westerners still haven’t really had a chance to play it as the game has been in closed beta, and only in Korean.

Now both developer Pearl Abyss and publisher Daum have confirmed that Black Desert Online will be getting a western release, and that Daum is opening up a new office to assist in the localization of the title in the west.

Black Desert Online is getting its third closed beta in late August or early September. We’ll keep you guys posted.
