The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ Delayed on Nintendo Switch

Nicalis has announced a delay for The Binding of Isaac Rebirth+, on the Nintendo Switch.

The game was previously confirmed as a launch title – now the publisher is looking at a release sometime later next month, however they won’t make launch.

Reasons behind the delay weren’t confirmed, however Nicalis made a note in saying it was from “issues way beyond our control.”

The game is getting a physical release on the Switch, including: two free sticker sheets, an Isaac sticker, an instruction booklet, and a reversible art cover.

That makes, what, 5 launch games now?
I appreciate that Nintendo doesn’t want a repeat of the Wii U’s loooooong droughts, but launching with at least one compelling exclusive would do them wonders. In all honestly, though, I don’t think a single console has had a good launch linup for the past generation or two.

Nicalis keeping up the tradition of not being able to keep launch dates. I bet it will be buggy as well.

At least it’s getting a physical edition.

Probably just going to cancel my preorder at this point and pick it up digital later on sale. The physical goodies were nowhere near as “good” as I had hoped.
