We’ve known a fix was coming, but thankfully we’ve gotten confirmation that a patch to fix Bloodborne‘s most noticeable (at least from both fans and reviewers) flaw – its loading times.
The new update, version 1.03 “seeks to reduce certain load times in addition to performance optimizations,” according to SCE Japan Studio producer Masaaki Yamagiwa. “The patch also resolves an issue that resulted in abnormal game behavior [presumably Steven’s so-called “easy mode”] after many continuous hours of play. Additional fixes will be included as well.”

From Software is promising the update for Bloodborne will come some time “before the end of the month.” In related news, Bloodborne has sold over one million units worldwide.
