The 1997 anime adaptation of Berserk is available now on Netflix. Follow the classic story of Guts without the 3D animation of the 2016 version.

Berserk is a dark fantasy series telling the story of the sellsword Guts who fights with the Band of the Hawk, a mercenary company. The series began in 1989 and continued until creator Kentaro Miura passed away last year. The series is being continued by Miura’s close friend Kouji Mori who’s known for his original series Suicide Island and Taiga of Genesis (Sousei no Taiga).

While the release of the 1997 series is welcome news, Netflix is also working on a live-action adaptation of the series.
