Every year, Nintendo holds a Pokemon tournament in Japan to help decide who is the nation’s ultimate Pokemon player. Clearly, there’s no reason to not enter the contest if you’re around that age, most especially considering the price you could win in this year’s competition.
Nintendo has revealed that the grand prize for coming out on top at this year’s Pokemon tournament is a one of a kind Mega Charizard 3DS XL. The fact that this particular model is only made once is only half of the craziness, whoever wins gets their name engraved on the back of the system itself.
The sad part is that whichever lucky kid wins this will probably play it enough to wear it down past any potential value that it would be worth in the future – although I can’t blame him or her as I would probably do the same thing, and never sell the thing for as long as I lived. Would you sell the Charizard 3DS?
