The time has finally come for all of us to have an excuse to have freakishly long beards, and I’m not talking about the month of November. Stoic Studio’s epic and brilliant looking strategy RPG The Banner Saga has finally seen release on Steam.

The Banner Saga was initially crowd-funded via a successful Kickstarter tat raised over $700,000 dollars, after which the developers released a bite-sized (and free to play) version of the game in the form of The Banner Saga: Factions.

The “Viking RPG” will see you fighting brutal turn based battles, featuring artwork that would probably make Don Bluth squeal with glee. Seriously, it’s quite amazing in motion, you should give the launch trailer a watch.
