Eureka Entertainment has announced yet another HD remaster, this time for Beach of the War Gods.

The new HD remaster is being prepped to celebrate the films 50th anniversary, and will hit markets in early 2023 via blu-ray disc.

The 1973 classic is a loose retelling of Akira Kurosawa’s epic Seven Samurai, and was both written and directed by Taiwanese martial artist Jimmy Wang Yu, who also stars in the film.

Beach of the War Gods is set in 1556, the film exchanges roaming bandits for Japanese pirates, where famous swordsman Hsia Feng rallies five other warriors and the local fishermen to fight the naval bandits off.
