Bayonetta 1 and 2 Possibly Teased for Nintendo Switch

Platinum Games have launched their official Japanese Twitter account.

While the timing in the launch of their Japanese Twitter account is curious, what’s even more interesting is their first tweet, which includes the above image of both Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2 artwork.

The art was done by game designer Yusuke Hashimoto, and is clearly the same color scheme as the neon Joy-Cons from the Nintendo Switch:

A Nintendo Switch port of both games makes sense, especially considering Nintendo owns the publishing rights to the second game.

The original Bayonetta recently got a PC / Steam port, while it has since been available on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and the Wii U – alongside its sequel, which is exclusive to the Wii U.

They better port Bayonetta 2 because I’m not buying a Wii-U.

I own both for the WiiU but would buy them instantly for the Switch

Same, especially if they continue the trend of improving the graphics when porting from Wii U to Switch.

Your loss. The Wii U had a lot of great games.

Won’t be much of one when most of them are gonna be on the Switch anyway. And cheaper.

So far, there’s been no hint of any of the Wii U’s RPGs coming to Switch.

The Wii U’s RPG library being what, Xenoblade and……. that shitty FE not-Persona game? Forgive me if I’m not sold on it.

It was a really shitty Xeno game too, speaking as someone who got the collector’s edition really foolishly

There’s really only two RPGs I know that are worth getting and both I can live without. The only thing of the Wii-U that matters to me are Bayonetta 2 and Mario Maker. The rest are either on the Switch or already on older consoles. I guess there’s Wonderful 101 but I’m not exactly sure what that one is about.

I hope this is true, I don’t want to buy a overpriced used Wii U only for Bayonetta 2

    >Bayonetta 2 come sout on the Switch
    >It’s buggier and looks worse than the Wii U version
    >This finally shocks Nintoddlers into realizing how bad their console really is
    What were they thinking?

Why and how would it be worse than the Wii U version?

Wonderful 101 is great, it’s like a cuhrazy Pikmin.

Flying around in the mechs was alright, but there wasn’t really much motivation to explore the empty open world with it’s shit story.

implying the Wii U version is buggy, which it’s not.

If there would be 2 Wii U games I’d definitely rebuy (retail) for switch, it would be those 2.

Eh… completely disagree. Xenoblade X is one of the best games of last generation. Absolutely incredible.

Not that I’d advocate buying a Wii U for it, but it was a fabulous game.

see: Switch version of Breath of the Wild vs WiiU version. Granted with the day one patch it MIGHT be playable (which only goes to show how the reviewers who said it was good were lying through their teeth for ad revenue), it’s still clear that anything of sufficient complexity (more than a couple 2D sprites at a time) is too much for their cheap, plastic crap.
