    A TV anime based on the manga series Battle in 5 Seconds After Meeting will premiere on July 12th.

    The series began in 2015 from writer-artist duo Saizou Harawata and Miyako Kashiwa. Harawata’s other work includes Kingdom of the Z and Doukoku no Majutsushi: Brave & Chicken.


    Battle in 5 Seconds After Meeting follows the story of Akira Shiroyanagi, a young high school student. However his daily life is changed when he’s dragged into a mysterious game where all the participants have been effectively erased and no one will come looking for them.

    Each participant in this game has been given a random power with which they’re expected to play games at the whims of the experiment’s organizers. These games can range from small scale contests to battle royales; and these games can carry deadly consequences.
