Battalion 1944 Summer Season Update Now Live

Bulkhead Interactive and Square Enix have released the first big seasonal update to their competitive WWII shooter, Battalion 1944.

The Summer update adds the new Headquarters mode, which involves teams fighting to hold capture points that will randomly spawn on the map. Once a team captures a point, each player on that team is restricted to one life and must hold the point as long as possible to score points. You can read more here.

The update also adds a ton of Roman-themed weapon skins to the game that can be acquired via Gladiator War Chests. Chests can be earned by ranking up, buying them in-game, or purchasing the Gladiators Upgrade for $12.99, a one-time purchase that includes 10 Chests, the game’s soundtrack, and a unique knife skin.

Gladiator War Chests will be available until September 2nd.

Battalion 1944 is available on Windows PC via Steam for $19.99, and its currently 33% off.
