Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League

Warner Bros. Japan has revealed the first trailer for Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League, along with character visuals for the characters.

Batman along with Robin again are stuck in the Sengoku Period of Japan, battling their nemeses from the comics, now becoming Japanese warlords from the Sengoku era. New visuals and characters were also revealed, such as Wonder Woman, the Flash, Green Lantern, and Aquaman, all with Japanese aesthetics.

The new Batman Ninja vs. Yakuza League movie is a sequel to the original Batman Ninja animated film from 2018. The new trailer was revealed at Anime Expo 2024:

Here’s a full look at new artwork from the animated movie:

Junpei Mizusaki, the director Batman Ninja, will return to direct its sequel along with Shinji Takagi. Kazuki Nakashima returns as head writer, as well as composer Yugo Kanno and character designer Takashi Okazaki

Koichi Yamadera is reprising the caped bat superhero from the previous Batman Ninja theme. The previous Batman Ninja anime was released in 2018 by Warner Brothers on streaming sites, later airing on Toonami in 2021. Masahito Hisa launched a manga based on it and ran for a year from 2018 to 2019.

DC Comics describes Batman Ninja as:

Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd’s time displacement machine transports many of Batman’s worst enemies to feudal Japan – along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies – including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family – to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City.

No release date has been announced as of now.
