Focus Home Interactive and Rogue Factor are working on a video game adaptation of Games Workshop’s cult classic original board game, Mordheim. The new game, titled Mordheim: City of the Damned, is a turn based tactical game where you command warbands in both glorious and bloody battles. Mordheim blends fact paced tactical combat, RPG elements, and robust unit customization, in a world where only the strong survive.

The core gameplay will feature rival warbands that fight amongst each other for control of key neighborhoods, in order for them to eventually acquire the fabled Wyrdstone fragments. The playable factions include the Sisters of Sigmar, Possessed, Skaven, Mercenaries from the Empire, and many others. As you progress through successful skirmishes, you’ll be able to further evolve and customize your warband, eventually developing them into a force to be reckoned with.

Loot items and hidden weapons are just a few of the ways you’ll be able to get new equipment – you’ll also be able to steal things off your slain enemies. Mordheim: City of the Damned will come with online multiplayer when it launches in late 2014 on PC.
