Bard’s Tale IV Meets Its Funding Goal

As expected, Bard’s Tale IV met its funding goal early this morning with 25 days still left on the clock. Reaching $1,250,000USD in such a short time would be considered great for any other Kickstarter, but it seemed like some people, especially inXile CEO Brian Fargo himself, were a little shocked it took this long. Especially after seeing Iga’s Bloodstained hit its own funding goal (And a few stretch ones as well) in only four hours. Still, it’s an exciting moment for CRPG fans and even more exhilarating for inXile, which you can see in Brian’s update:

These are always my favorite updates… we did it!
Nearly 30,000 of you have put your belief in us once more, and we are forever grateful. You’ve heard me wax poetic on the subject of crowdfunding enough, but truly we would not be able to make these games without your support every step of the way. Your social media love you have given over the course of the campaign has been invaluable, and your continued support will let us make The Bard’s Tale IV bigger and better than ever.
But for now let’s just enjoy the moment of reaching our goal!
    The Bard is back!

Amusingly enough, Bard’s Tale IV reached its goal in the middle of last night’s Fallout 4 reveal, a humorous coincidence that didn’t go unnoticed by the original Fallout mastermind in all of the excitement.
