Bandai Namco Online has announced they will be merged into Bandai Namco Entertainment, effectively killing off the subsidiary focused on online titles.

Originally launched back in 2009 as a subsidiary focused on providing support for online functionality to Bandai Namco-produced games, the company started making their own games like Gundam Evolution and the ill-fated anime MMORPG, Blue Protocol.

While Gundam Evolution shut down back in November 2023, their once-popular MMO Blue Protocol is shutting down in January 2025 and its western release will never come to light.

Any titles still being operated by Bandai Namco Online will be taken over by Bandai Namco Entertainment after the subsidiary is rolled back into the main company.
