Bandai Namco is apparently gearing up to at least consider localizing Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, that is if a fan petition can reaches 50,000 signatures. The tease came via Bandai Namco’s European community manager, Isshak Gravi, who mentioned it on Twitter.
There’s already a petition pleading for the localization of Cyber Sleuth and/or Digimon World Re: Digitize Decode, one a Vita exclusive and the other for 3DS, respectively. The petition has already reached over 30,400 signatures.
Gravi also said that 50,000 signatures won’t guarantee that the game will be localized, rather it will “start a discussion” within the publisher.
“That’s your best bet fans, to try and START a discussion,” he continued. “Digimon isn’t what it used to be & a 3DS/Vita JRPG is not the easiest to bring over.”
Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is currently scheduled for a release sometime in 2015 for Japan.
