Bandai Namco is contemplating Sword Art Online games for the Nintendo Switch.
The news comes via a recent livestream the publisher held (via jin115), where Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet producer Keishi Minami confirmed they’re looking at bringing Sword Art Online games to the hybrid console.
“Because I’m a gamer like everyone else, I’m also hoping we’ll release games for Nintendo Switch,” he said when asked if games from the franchise will come to the Switch.
“Currently we’re discussing this with upper management. It might take awhile, however it’s being talked about with an optimistic tone.”
A Bandai Namco boss added that they’re looking at the decision positively all-around, and noted that there are a lot of people gaming on Switch, and that a lot of Sword Art Online fans are young.
The latest game in the Sword Art Online game franchise, Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet, is now available for Windows PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. In case you missed it, you can find our review for the game here (we recommend it!).
