Bandai Namco is celebrating the Elden Ring launch

Bandai Namco is celebrating the Elden Ring launch by making fans into real life Lords and Ladies, like the former aristocracy that reigned over feudal Europe.

The new celebration arrives via a new collaboration with Highland Titles, part of a Charitable Trust for Scotland, who are raffling off bits of land for preservation – and owners get the legal title of Lord or Lady. This is also limited to only our readers in the United Kingdom or Ireland.

While Bandai Namco is celebrating the Elden Ring launch via this new collab – only 100 lucky men and women will be selected as winners and get the “souvenir plot of land,” as well as the title of “Elden Lord” or “Elden Lady.” Winners can also nominate someone else like a family member or friend, if you want to abandon the call of lordship.

It’s worth noting while these are legal titles you can actually put on legal documents like your driver’s license or passport, they are not claims to hereditary titles like the aristocracy of old. This is just a cheeky way of gaming the system to encourage people to care about preserving land from being used up for depressing strip malls.

The winners that receive the small bit of land at the Highland Titles Nature Reserve near Glencoe in Scotland can “do what you please with the land within the normal confines of law” on that plot. The Highland Titles site mentions the plots range from 1 square feet to 100 square feet, but it remains unclear how big the plots Bandai Namco purchased are in fact.

The new competition is running until March 11th, and entrants will have to email the competition’s email via [email protected] and give a reason why the nominated person should be given the title of Lord or Lady.

Elden Ring is available now across Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. In case you missed it, you can find our thorough and spoiler-free review and video review for Elden Ring here.
