Baldur’s Gate III is coming to Xbox in 2023

Baldur's Gate III

Larian Studios has announced Baldur’s Gate III is still coming to Xbox Series X|S in 2023 – news confirmed at Gamescom 2023.

Prior to its full PC release, Larian Studios confirmed a PS5 and Xbox Series X|S port, but later delayed the Xbox port due to technical issues – mostly due to the split-screen not working on Series S and Microsoft requiring feature parity between the two platforms.

Baldur’s Gate III is available now on Windows PC (via Steam) and is coming to PS5 on September 6th. Check out our review for the game!

“Super happy to confirm that after meeting Phil Spencer yesterday, we’ve found a solution that allows us to bring Baldur’s Gate 3 to Xbox players this year still, something we’ve been working towards for quite some time,” Larian Studios CEO Swen Vincke said.

He added, “All improvements will be there, with split-screen coop on Series X. Series S will not feature split-screen coop, but will also include cross-save progression between Steam and Xbox Series.”
