Baldur’s Gate 3 bug made characters have low standards

Baldur's Gate 3

Developer Swen Vincke claims Baldur’s Gate 3‘s companions were down-bad because of a bug.

In an interview with TheGamer, Baldur’s Gate 3‘s developer Swen Vincke has revelead that characters had low approval thresholds at launch, making them too eager for some fun.

When speaking about romance at launch, Swen said the following:

So… it was a bug

The approval thresholds were too low when we shipped. That’s why they were so horny in the beginning. It wasn’t supposed to be that way. We’ve fixed it since, at least for some of them. We’re still fixing a few of them.

It wasn’t intended, especially Gale. [He] wasn’t supposed to be like, instantly there.

Larian did patch the bug out, despite players really enjoying this unintentional feature.
