Publisher Playstack and solo indie developer LocalThunk announced Balatro has sold over 1 million copies since its worldwide debut.
Their poker roguelike deckbuilder sold over one million copies within a month since its debut on February 20th across Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and PS5.
“I’m so grateful to all the players and people that have made this happen,” LocalThunk said. “I still can’t grasp the response to this game, and I am overjoyed that so many people have been able to have fun with my silly creation. I’m so fortunate that I can continue working on my passion as a career. Thank you!”

LocalThunk will keep working on Balatro releasing quality of life updates and more – as well as release a smartphone port for the game.
