Publisher Playground Productions and developer Mega Cat Studios have announced a brand-new Backyard Baseball 3D imagining game.
Backyard Baseball 3D is in development for Windows PC (via Steam), Xbox, Switch, and PlayStation with a release set for July 9th.
It’s worth nothing that while there were previously released 3D entries in the Backyard Baseball series, this is an entirely new release.
“Backyard Baseball is leveling up!” said Lindsay Barnett, CEO of Playground Productions in a press release. “We are thrilled to bring Backyard Baseball into the modern era. The new game offers the perfect combination of the original charm and modern play mechanics audiences have come to expect. We can’t wait for fans to play!”

We’re incredibly honored to help bring this beloved series back in a way that respects its legacy while introducing a whole new generation to the magic that made it special in the first place. - SET YOUR LINE UP: Assign positions and a batting order. Choose wisely!
- PLAY LIKE A KID: In the Backyard there are no injuries, and while all kids make errors, it is a feature you can turn off. Need to use a tee? No problem! There are plenty of ways to customize your experience, but above all: have fun and Play Like a Kid™!
