Sirlin Games has announced a PlayStation 4 port of their back to basics 2D fighting game, Fantasy Strike.

The game is described as a “deceptively simple” fighting game, with the goal of making a middle-ground fighting game for both casual and hardcore fighting game fans. Featured above, you can view a new trailer for the game.

Sirlin Games is headed by former Street Fighter developer David Sirlin, who has been involved in the fighting game industry for more than 25 years. He was lead designer behind Super Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix at Capcom.

Featuring a current cast of 10 playable characters based on the card game Yomi, the game is currently in pre-alpha, and has playable builds available now – should you decide to fund the game on Patreon.

Fantasy Strike will be playable at PlayStation Experience 2016.
