Publisher Square Enix and developer PlatinumGames have shared a new Babylon’s Fall combat trailer, alongside more details on the game’s Season 1 content, and its newly announced NieR: Automata collab.

Also revealed was the Season 1 roadmap and trailer which shows a glimpse of all the action coming to BABYLON’S FALL from February 25 through May 31^*, including new game modes, a new faction, new weapon type, new story content, new bosses, armor, quests and more. The Premium Battle Pass will be free for all players during Season 1.

SQUARE ENIX also announced the NieR:Automata collaboration taking place in BAYBLON’S FALL during Season 1. Featuring costumes, enemies, and a dungeon inspired by NieR:Automata, NieR fans won’t want to miss out on this limited time event.

The Season 1 content will include:

• Game modes
  • Skirmish: Side quests where you will encounter mighty “Infamous enemies”.
  • Siege: Quests that change weekly and offer special rewards.
  • Duel: Quests focused on battles against powerful bosses.
  • Gauntlet: Quests where players compete to achieve the highest score on special stages.
• Additional faction: Molzamite
• Additional weapon type: Labrys
• New story content, new bosses, armor, quests and more!

PlayStation 5 playable demo

Further, the BABYLON’S FALL free downloadable demo launches tomorrow, February 25, on PlayStation®5 and PlayStation®4. The demo gives players access to the opening section of the game where both single player and four player cross-play co-op can be experienced for free. All progress and achievements will be carried over to the full version of the game on PlayStation platforms following the official launch on March 3. Those who pre-order BABYLON’S FALL Digital Deluxe Edition will receive early access to the full game on February 28.

About the game

In BABYLON’S FALL players become a group of warriors known as the sentinels, bonded with special equipment called Gideon Coffins, and throw themselves into an odyssey to overcome the titanic Tower of Babylon, within which sleeps a great legacy. In addition to weapons wielded in both hands, characters can use the power of their Gideon Coffin to equip two more, allowing for combinations of up to four weapons at once. The capabilities of different equipment will also bring endless variation to the strategy that can be employed. The game’s visuals are achieved using a newly developed “brushwork style” to create a unique fantasy setting with a medieval oil painting aesthetic.

Featuring fluid co-op-combat, powerful weapons and a unique, striking art style, the epic world of BABYLON’S FALL can be played solo or in parties up to four**. Following the launch, BABYLON’S FALL will continue to be supported with new game modes, ongoing story content, and additional weapon types at no additional cost.

Babylon’s Fall is set to launch on March 3, 2022 worldwide across Windows PC (via Steam), PlayStation 4, and PlayStation 5.
