Babylon’s Fall Closed Beta Begins August 5 in North America, August 12 in Europe

Square Enix have announced the first phase dates of the closed beta for live-service action RPG Babylon’s Fall. 

As previously reported, players are mighty Sentinels; bounded to their Gideon Coffins to overcome the Tower of Babylon. The Coffin lets heroes equip up to four weapons at once, as parties of up to four players fight in brushwork style graphics.

In an announcement on the game’s community website Square Enix thank fans for signing up for the Closed Beta Test, and note they are “very pleased that so many of you have expressed an interest” in the game. Square Enix also revealed the date of the Closed Beta Test’s first phase; July 29th in Japan, August 5th in North America, and August 12th in Europe.

The Closed Beta will be expanded with subsequent phases 2 and 3, and all those who took part in the first Closed Beta will be able to participate in subsequent phases. Phase 1 is designed to test the fundamentals; installation, registering, authenticating, and server and network tests.

Square Enix also reminds fans to use the official forums to submit feedback, suggestions, and bug reports. However, it is forbidden to share images and videos from the game on social media. The FAQ also confirms that character and save data cannot be transferred into the full game.

Babylon’s Fall is in development for Windows PC (via Steam) and PlayStation 4, an PlayStation 5.
