I had the chance to talk to the guys from Wimbus Studios, a local indie development studio who are currently working on a classic JRPG inspired game called The Island of Eternal Struggle.
Featured above, you’ll get a quick overview of the game’s visuals and core gameplay mechanics, and even some surprises as well. The game follows the exploits and journeys of a strange, faceless protagonist named Ian, a man who is attempting to escape his destiny and ultimately escape the island he seems to be stranded upon.
There are lots of variety as far as the monsters are concerned, and the classic JRPG inspired combat isn’t the only way you can fight enemies – there are even some surprises like exciting chase scenes, and button input command style attacks.
The Island of Eternal Struggle is Wimbus Studios’ first full length title, and it’s being tireless worked on by the team. In case you didn’t get a chance to play the game at the South Jersey Geek Fest this weekend, the team will have it playable at Too Many Games, which is coming on June 27th-29th of this year. In the meantime, make sure to follow their blog for updates posted to the game.
