Atomic Ninjas is a 2.5D sidescroller/platformer/MOBA of sorts. Wow, that’s a mouthful. The game looks pretty fast and responsive – but definitely fun. It’s centered around playing as one of six irradiated, super ninjas who are embroiled in a battle against one another. You can check out the debut trailer below:

The key difference between Atomic Ninjas and most other MOBAs is that you cannot directly kill your opponents. Yes, you can’t go up and nuke your opponents with various abilities like in other MOBA games. You must outsmart and outflank them and eventually force them into various environmental hazards.

An interesting gameplay mechanic, hopefully it works well. The game itself looks fun, the art style definitely pops. I really like the character designs of the ninjas, they look pretty derpy:

The game launches on PS3 later this summer and sometime this fall on PS Vita. The game will feature four player competitive play. You can view more of the game on their official site here.
