Atlus Will Release an Unannounced Game in 2022

Atlus will release an unannounced game in 2022, alongside other surprises and new sales figures for the recently launched Shin Megami Tensei V.

The news that Atlus will release an unannounced game in 2022 comes from Famitsu, where various developers shared New Year’s greeting cards with fans.

“We are also preparing an unreleased new work. In addition, the 25th anniversary of Persona, which has been developed since the old year, will enter the next new phase,” the developer said.

The above was shared after confirming Shin Megami Tensei V has sold and shipped over 800,000 copies worldwide since its November 2021 release.

Atlus also reiterated the forthcoming re-release of Persona 4 Arena Ultimax, which is being remastered and ported to PC, Switch, and PS4, alongside the new Switch port for 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, which are both coming alongside “even more surprises.”

Shin Megami Tensei V has been available since November 2021 on Nintendo Switch. In case you missed it – you can find our thorough review for the game here (we highly recommend it!).

In related news, key Atlus staff have teased that the company hopes to release a “pillar of Atlus title” in 2022, as well as finally getting a full reveal and possibly a firm release date for Project Re Fantasy (pictured), Atlus’ incredibly ambitious and much-delayed fantasy RPG.
