Atlus Hiring for “High-End Action Game” on PlayStation 4

We’ve learned (via Hachima) that Atlus has posted a new job for what seems to be a new game for PlayStation 4.

The new listing was found over on Japanese job listings aggregate Creator’s Partner Fellows (now removed), and it’s for a “high-end action game” for PlayStation 4.

Titled “Searching for 2D Concept Design / Key Animation Talent! PS4 High-End Action Game,” the listing is hoping to bring on someone to work in-house at the company – who are known for their goddess and devil RPGs.

The listing mentions the following job details:

  • Newly developed PS4 project. We will tell you more about the game’s style during the interview.
  • The game’s genre contains action-based battle elements.
  • 2D concept art production is the main responsibility for this job.

Finally, it’s worth mentioning that the job posting doesn’t actually mention Atlus by name, however, its location is listed as Setagaya, which is where Atlus’ main offices are. This combined with the previous blurb about the company being known for making goddess and demon RPGs, it certainly sounds like Atlus.

Sounds interesting. RPGs are not my thing, but a beat-em up game is something I could go for.

High end action game? As in the type of game that would feature Dante from the Devil May Cry series?

Good Atlus finally dropped the Vita. Maybe their games will not be that held back anymore.

    >Implying mainline tensei titles will ever come to any other console

Eh, whatever they make on a Nintendo console usually stays there. Same goes for whatever they make on a Sony console as well. (unless it is a shitty ORIGINAL jrpg)
