Publisher Koei Tecmo has announced Atelier Online: Alchemist of Bressisle is shutting down in March 2022, roughly three years after its initial release in Japan.
The news that Atelier Online: Alchemist of Bressisle is shutting down on March 31st comes roughly three years since the game’s October 2018 release as a partnership with developer NHN PlayArt and Koei Tecmo. Later, in 2019 development was brought internally to Koei Tecmo.
“We would like to express our deep gratitude to the entire development and operation team for the support of many customers,” Koei Tecmo said in a statement.
The game finally got a western release via Boltrend Games back in July 2021, but it remains unclear if the Japanese shutdown is going to affect the western release of Atelier Online: Alchemist of Bressisle.
We’ll keep you guys posted.
