Astro City Mini V Announced

Astro City Mini V

Sega has announced the Astro City Mini V, its second miniature arcade console in their Arcade Classics series after the original Astro City Mini.

The Astro City Mini V is launching sometime in summer 2022 for Japan with a price set at 19,580 yen (roughly $172). The mini console is a miniature reproduction of the Astro City arcade cabinet that was seen in Japanese arcades in the 1990s, however unlike its predecessor – it has a vertical screen and has mostly shoot ’em up games.

Tokyo arcade company Game Center Mikado worked alongside Sega on the production and development of the Astro City V, offering rare and expensive circuit boards, various games, and even overseeing the button scheme for the unit with Sega. The mini console has an HDMI out connection like the other mini consoles so you can play on a large screen, as well as an “easy save” function to instant save your game.
