Atari, who most recently outlawyered an indie developer, have put Asteroids: Outpost, their sandbox game inspired by arcade space shooter Asteroids, on Steam Early Access.

A:O, developed by Salty Games, is supposed to simulate a future rush for resources in space, and toward that end has players mine, craft, build, shoot, and loot in an open world ecosystem on an asteroid circling a planet—sort of like The Forest in space?
