Dracue Software is working on a remake of Assault Suit Leynos for the Playstation 4. Man, do I always get excited for a new mecha game, regardless of the fact that this is a remake. The remake was revealed in this year’s Bitsummit, a festival of indie developers in Kyoto.
Toru Yoshida of Armored Trooper Votoms fame is working on the game as a mechanical supervisor. Yes, these games have people who oversee the mechanical structure of the mecha. Also, Hyakutaro Tsukumo, the composer from Thunderforce V, is totally in charge of the soundtrack.

The game is going to follow suit of other Japanese developers who have taken to Kickstarter to help fund their dream projects, thusly it will adopt an open development approach while they take in fan feedback. The Kickstarter campaign is set to be revealed very soon.
