Ubisoft and manga artist Makoto Yukimura have announced (via 4Gamer) an Assassin’s Creed Valhalla manga collab of sorts.
The new collaboration includes both Assassin’s Creed Valhalla and Yukimura’s popular Vinland Saga, both of which focus on the viking invasions and raids during the post-Roman Empire dark ages. While Assassin’s Creed Valhalla takes place during the 9th century and Vinland Saga occurs a bit later in the 11th century, both will meet in the new manga.
The new collaboration chapter of Vinland Saga is already available to read over on the Japanese Ubisoft website, and naturally focuses on Vinland Saga protagonist Thorfinn Karlsefni. As expected, Thorfinn runs into Assassin’s Creed Valhalla protagonist Eivor. The chapter will also be included in the December 2020 volume of Monthly Afternoon.
Ubisoft Montreal will also be producing a special collaboration image or artwork for the game’s launch in November.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla launches November 10th on Windows PC (via the Epic Games Store, and Ubisoft Store), PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Google Stadia. On PlayStation 5, it launches November 12th in the US and Australia, and November 19th in Europe.
