Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag delisted quietly from Steam

Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

We’ve learned Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has been delisted and is no longer available to purchase on Steam, with no word from publisher Ubisoft.

Steam users who navigate to Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag‘s Steam page will find that something is missing, as both the game and its DLCs have been completely unlisted from the platform.

Players suspect that Ubisoft is planning to release a remake of the critically acclaimed game, and as is customary, unlisted the game from digital platforms. Curiously, the game is still available on Ubisoft Connect, the company’s proprietary store.

Steam users claim the game’s last update before being unlisted broke its full screen function, although this doesn’t seem to be replicated in the Ubisoft Store version. The game’s online mode, Kenway’s Fleet, has also been disabled.

At the moment Ubisoft hasn’t teased anything pertaining to a remake or remaster, as there isn’t even an explanation on the game’s Steam page as to why it was unlisted.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag is available on PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Wii U, and Microsoft Windows (through the Ubisoft Store).
