As Dusk Falls Announced for PC and Xbox Series X

Microsoft have announced As Dusk Falls during the Xbox Games Showcase.

As Dusk Falls is “an original interactive drama” from INTERIOR/NIGHT, which follows the story of two families. One, a couple with a young daughter who’s only passing through town. The other, a group of robbers whose path intersects with the other.

The trailer shows us a fateful night where the father of the first family is taken by the second and the cops arrive. The trailer then cuts to years later, where the daughter approaches a cabin in the woods. The man who answers the door seemingly one of the robbers from that night.

You can find the announcement trailer below.

“One town. Two families. Three decades of secrets. As Dusk Falls is an original interactive drama from INTERIOR/NIGHT that explores the entangled lives of two families across thirty years. Starting with a robbery-gone-wrong in small town Arizona, the choices you make will have a powerful impact on this epic story of sacrifice, betrayal, and resilience.

In a blog post on the official Xbox website, the founder of INTERIOR/NIGHT describes As Dusk Falls.

“As Dusk Falls is our studio’s debut game. It is about two families whose trajectories collide in the Arizona desert in 1999. Most stories start at the beginning, but this story starts in the middle, gradually widening outward to encompass multiple points of view over a thirty year span; a story spiral that explores the past, present and future of a single dramatic night.

Can you break free of the influence of a toxic, but loving, family?

Can you start over by moving home or changing jobs?

Can you overcome your past?

These questions explore the universal themes of legacy, resilience and sacrifice. By playing As Dusk Falls, you will experience these everyday dilemmas first-hand and decide how you want to shape the fate of real, flawed people who are trying to find their way in a world they don’t fit in.”

As Dusk Falls is coming soon to Xbox Series X.
