We’ve learned a bit more about the coming free update for Arms, Nintendo’s boxing-action game for the Nintendo Switch.
The new version 2.0 update will bring with it a new mode focused entirely on the (SPOILERS) final boss, Hedlok – alongside new playable character Max Brass.
“Max Brass is the main part of tomorrow’s update, but there is a new versus mode where in a fight between two or three players there’s a Hedlok mask players battle over, and when you get the mask your own character can turn into Hedlok,” producer Kosuke Yabuki said to Eurogamer.
“If one player turns into Hedlok it’ll be up to the other players to take him down. The Hedlok mode won’t just be available in one v one versus modes – it’ll be available online and in every multiplayer mode.”
Fans can also expect new balancing tweaks, which Yabuki notes are implemented “in a way not to make any character less good than they are at the moment.”
The new update will be available for free. Arms is available now for Switch. In case you missed it, you can find our written and video review for the game here (we highly recommend it!).
