Chinese developer Youyan has re-branded/re-announced Arisen Force: Vonimir, originally known as The Legend of Contraria.
Arisen Force: Vonimir is now set for a late 2024 release on Windows PC (via Steam), and later for consoles across Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, PS4, and PS5.
When I got word of the throwback RPG, I immediately confirmed it’s by the same team – Youyan – it’s old Steam store page redirects to the new page/name, and the new game features lots of the same art and characters.
It remains unclear why the game was rebranded and reannounced, but it’s now also running a Kickstarter campaign (for an initial $15,000 goal, which is already funded) and has a playable demo available now as well.
