Are Sony and From Software Working on a Spiritual Successor to Demon’s Souls? Project Beast is Leaked

It seems like the cat is finally out of the bag regarding the heavily rumored new project by Sony and From Software, a partnership that previously saw the development and release of the cult hit Demon’s Souls.

In a post on NeoGAF, we’ve gotten a look at a game called Project Beast, which was apparently posted/leaked onto 4chan prior to the NeoGAF find.

You can find all of the photos that were leaked below:

Following the original leak/posting, JPS Kai posted even more images, which can also be found above. Demonnite, a confirmed Sony employee and regular leaker/teaser on NeoGAF, talked about something like this in the past, saying:

“It will be a whole different beast.”

He previously gave another tease on GAF: “If by souls you mean another PS4 exclusive Souls spinoff then maybe ? ; )” when another member asked if a Demon’s Souls sequel was coming.

We’ll keep you guys posted.

Hey how about that? The article I posted about him teasing that on GAF was right. Honestly, I was wary, but now I feel vindicated.

That being said, I’m curious about the “different” comment. Maybe it’ll be more like King’s Field…I hope.

I really don’t care for Demons/Dark Souls. I much prefer King’s field and want a return to that style.

Yeah this is totally nuts, I’m glad we called it back then.

It’s a shame that Sony can never seem to keep the big reveals under wraps pre-E3.

Kings’s field is not even worthy of being used to wipe the ass of Miyazaki’s Souls series.

The gulf of quality is so wide that a comparison is a laughable prospect. As such I hope that it has nothing to do with pre-Miyazaki From Software games.
