Cygames announces new Apocalypse Hotel anime

Apocalypse Hotel

CyberAgent and their Cygames Pictures division have announced Apocalypse Hotel, a new anime appropriately set in post-apocalypse Japan.

Details are scant but the anime is set in a post-apocalyptic Tokyo where a hotel in the Ginza area still remains among the ruins. A premiere is set for 2025.

Longtime manga artist Izumi Takemoto, known for series like Teketeke My Heart, Neko Mēwaku, Garden Shimai, and more, is in charge of character designs. Shigeru Murakoshi, known for Zombieland Saga, Kakegurui, and The Seven Deadly Sins, is in charge of the script.

The anime’s opening theme, “skirt”, will be performed by Japanese singer aiko, and you can hear part of the song in the first teaser video.

Here’s the official synopsis on the anime, plus a teaser trailer:

The earth where mankind has disappeared and civilization has collapsed. —- Ginza.

In a world of devastated towns and revived nature, a venerable hotel remains.

There are currently 0 guests staying at the hotel, and 0 new guests scheduled to stay today,

Zero guests currently staying, zero new guests scheduled to stay today, and zero views of the website yesterday. We have not reached our goal.

This is a story that unfolds in a hotel where the human race has disappeared.
