Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra anime premieres this year

Apocalypse Briger Mynoghra

An anime adaptation of Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra (Isekai Mokushiroku Mynoghra: Hametsu no Bunmei de Hajimeru Sekai Seifuku) is set to premiere this year.

Mynoghra is a civilization-building isekai series where a young man named Taukuto Ira is sent to a world where he takes control of a playable faction in one of his favorite Real Time Strategy games: Eternal Nations. The game in question is similar to Warcraft 3 in the sense that he can summon “Hero” units unique to his faction, in this case Mynoghra: The Civilization of Ruin.

While Takuto feels normal to himself, to the denizens of this new world he appears as a being made of ominous shadow. His “Hero” units range from eldritch horrors to gigantic insect broodmothers. As time goes on, Takuto learns two things.

First, Takuto isn’t alone. Two, Eternal Nations isn’t the only game inflicting its mechanics on this world. Takuto’s RTS skills will have to stand up to cliche RPG heroes and other anomalies who turn the logic of his new world on its head.

The anime adaptation was announced last year with a short teaser.

The series began as a Light Novel in 2019 from writer-artist duo Fefu Kazuno (Kore ga Isekai no Oyakusoku desu!) and Jun (who’s largely known for their amazing artwork on Twitter).

A firm release date for Apocalypse Bringer Mynoghra has yet to be announced, but look forward to it sometime this year.
