• Aniplex Removes Region Lock from The Case Study of Vanitas PVs

    Aniplex has removed the region lock from the PVs for their upcoming series The Case Study of Vanitas, making them available to view by international audiences.

    Beginning in 2015 from creator Mochizuki Jun, The Case Study of Vanitas takes place in a fictionalized 19th century Paris that borrows a steampunk aesthetic. The titular Vanitas is a self-proclaimed doctor to vampires and with his special book is able to “cure” the predatory bloodlust that sometimes overwhelms them.

    The 6th PV for the upcoming series has been released just in time for it to become available for international fans.

    A western release of the series has still not been announced at the time pf publishing, but the removal of the region lock speculatively indicates that Aniplex wants to build international interest in the series.
